The 7 Best Shopify Upsell Apps 2026 (Tried & Tested)

There are a lot of Shopify upsell apps out there and this makes choosing the right one for your store a challenge, especially as they all claim to be the best!

That is why we went through and tested them to see whether or not you should consider them for your Shopify store.

Best Shopify Upsell App

Essentials Upsell and Cross Sell came out on top in our testing due to it:

  • Offering a good selection of features & integrations
  • Having an easy-to-use dashboard
  • Being reasonably priced

It just does the job and does it really well, especially for the price and combining this with other apps to help you market your store should help you get more sales.

Testing The Apps

Testing out Review apps is quite challenging as we don’t have numerous active stores running that we can use, so for our testing we looked at:

  • The features they offer
  • The pricing
  • What they are like to use

And this allowed us to come up with a list of the 7 apps that we would choose for our own store to give you an idea as to what you can use for yours.

1. Essential Upsell & Cross Sell

Essential Upsell and Cross Sell Shopify App

Essential Upsell & Cross Sell is one of the mostpopular and highly rated upsell apps on the Shopify App Store and after trying it, we can see why.

The one thing that we really liked was how easy it is to set up a promotion, from installing the app to getting your first upsell live, takes a few clicks but the amount of options is also really good, they include:

  • Adding promotions to multiple pages on your site, including product, post-purchase and cart (requires essential plan)
  • Different offer types such as Cross-sell, frequently bought together and product add-on
  • Add a percentage or fixed-price discount
  • Lots of customization options for your offer
  • In app analytics to see how well your upsells are performing

But how much does Essential Upsell and Cross Sell cost?

They offer 4 plans:

FreeStarterEssentialProfessional
Monthly Cost$0$9.99$19.99$39.99
Revenue Limit$100 additional/m$500 additional/m$1000 additional/mUnlimited

One of the things we did like about the pricing is that other than the Cart page upsells, they include all the features on the Free and Starter plans that the app offers.

After trying the app, we do understand why it has a 5-star rating as it is really easy to get started with, offers a good set of features, is easy to use and is reasonably priced, definitely worth checking out.

2. Selleasy – Upsell & Cross Sell

Selleasy is a dedicated upsell and cross sell app and while it may not offer such a wide range of features as some of the other apps on this list, it does upsells really well.

The onboarding process is really simple and you will be setting up your first offers in no time and when it comes to upsell features, the app includes:

  • Multiple Widgets – the largest selection of different widget type for your product, cart and after sale pages (checkout widgets are available for Shopify Plus customers)
  • Offers – choose products manually to display offers or use AI to choose them for you
  • Discounts – offer discounts to encourage customers to buy more
  • Customization – lots of customization options for each widget type, allowing you to tailor them to your brand

When it comes to purely upsells and cross sells, Selleasy is quite hard to beat and it is also really easy to use, whether that is setting up and offer or managing existing offers.

But how much does Selleasy cost?

They offer 4 plans, which are:

Freemim Tier IFreemium Tier IIIFreemium Tier IVFreemim Tier IV
Monthly Cost$0$9$19$29
Number of Orders50/m500/m1,000/m1,000+/m

On their website, they also offer two additonal plans that are the Pro at $49/m and Enterprise at $99/m.

These additional plans come with more AI tools to help you increase AOV, with Enterprise also adding dedicated support.

We really like Selleasy as they have adopted the concept of doing one thing but doing it really well and if you are just looking for an app for upsells and cross-sells, then we would seriously recommend considering Selleasy.

3. BOGOS

BOGOS comes from the Secomapp team, which makes some of our favorite Shopify apps and their Upsell app also makes the cut and is highly rated by its users.

The reason why is that BOGOS offers more than just an upsell feature as it also includes bundles, gift offers and discount offers that can be set up independently of product upsells.

Just focusing on the Upsell aspect, BOGOS offers some really good features, including:

  • Different placement for Upsells – the main two are product page (called frequently bought together) and after sales page, they do offer a checkout page upsell but this is limited to Shopify Plus users only, which we didn’t like
  • Upsell trigger – choose which products you want the upsell to appear on
  • Discounts – incentivise customers to buy more by offering discounts for upsells

The one thing we did notice was that there are no customization options for the upsell box, which is a bit disappointing.

Getting started with the app was very simple and the onboarding wizard takes you through getting the app set up and creating your first offer. After going through that, the app dashboard is very easy to use as it setting up a new offer.

But how much does BOGOS cost? They offer 5 plans to choose from:

FreeBasicProfessionalUnlimitedPlus
Monthly PriceFree$29.99$49.99$69.99$109.99
Shopify PlanAnyBasicGrowAdvancedPlus
Number of OrdersFirst 303006001,0002,000

If you go over the monthly allowance, then you are charged an additional $0.05 per order with each plan having a maximum limit.

We do like the BOGOS app but we aren’t a fan of the pricing, especially as each plan is seemingly locked to a Shopify plan, which does seem to limit flexibility and the monthly order limits are quite low.

4. Qikify Upsell BOGO & Free Gift

The Quikify app keeps things simple and gives you complete control over your offers (no AI suggestions here!) and this may make it appealing for store owners who want to completely tailor their offerings.

The app does come with some really good features, including:

  • Multiple offer types – this is includes Buy X get Y, Frequenthly Bought Together and Gift with Products
  • Multiple locations – add offers to your product, cart and checkout pages (some offer types are limited to certain locations)
  • Widget types – choose whether the widget is embedded in the page or works as a pop-up
  • Discounts – offer fixed and percentage based discounts and choose the criteria as to when these discounts apply
  • Customization – customize the look and feel of your widgets

It is a very easy app to get started with and creating widgets is very simple but we didn’t find the workflow quite as easy as some of the other options but once you get used to the dashboard, it is fine.

One feature we do like on the paid plans is the anayltics, so that you can track how well your offers are performing.

But how much does Qikify cost? They offer a range of plans and which one you will use does depend on which Shopify plan you are on.

FreeBasicGrowAdvanced
Monthly Cost$0$9.99$24.99$49.99
Shopify PlanAny (only 1 active campaign though)Shopify BasicGrowAdvanced

There is also a $99.99/m plan for Shopify Plus users and one thing we liked about the pricing is that is isn’t linked to the amount of orders you store has.

The feature set and pricing does make Qikify a really good app and once you get used to the dashboard, it is a very good app but the lack of any kind of auto-suggest does let it down for us but it could be exactly what you are looking for.

5. Candy Rack – All-in-One Upsell

Candy Rack is another app that is focused on upsells and cross-sells, with simplicity being one of the apps main selling points as being making it simple and easy for users to add upsells to their site.

And this is something they do very well as it takes no time from installing the app to having offers live on your site as they have made the process of creating an upsell/cross sell really easy and that app offers some nice features, including:

  • Offers on different page types – and your offers to product, cart and post-purchase pages
  • AI-powered recommendations – you can choose to create manual offers or opt for the apps built-in AI mode that automatically selects the most relevant products
  • Discounts – offer percentage, fixed or buy X get Y discounts to your customers
  • Customization – customize all aspects of the upsells widget to make it match your sites branding

There are also some smaller additional features, with one that we really liked being the option to allow a text box so that customers can add instructions, which could be really helpful for some store types.

But how much does Candy Rack cost? It depends on the amount of orders that you have each month, with the smaller plans being:

StarterGrowthScale
Monthly Cost$39.99$59.99$79.99
Number of OrdersUp to 200201 – 500501 – 1,000

The pricing is the main negative we have with Candy Rack as it is one of the more expensive options to choose from.

As an app, we really liked using Candy Rack, as it offers good features and is really easy to use but we don’t think the price makes it better than some of the other options.

6. Moon Bundles Upsell Cart AOV+

Moon is primarily a bundles app but does offer some really good upsell features, which is why we have added it to the list, these features include:

  • Different widget types – they offer different widget types for product, cart and after sale pages
  • Offer types – offer customers Buy X Get Y, gifts and subscription bundels
  • Templates – paid plans includes templates for widgets, making creating them much easier
  • Customization – complete control over the look and feel of your widgets

The one thing we did really like about the Moon app is the visualized funnel flow through the product to cart and after sale page, which makes it easier to plan a funnel to try an maximize sales (you do need to be on the paid plan to access all of it).

But we didn’t find the app that easy to use as creating offers wasn’t as easy as some of the other apps and the workflow just didn’t feel as optimal, which is one of the biggest drawbacks of the app.

But how much does Moon cost? Well, they offer 4 plans:

DiscoveryEssentialProPremium
Monthly Cost$0$14.99$29.99$59.99
Generated Revenue Limit$500/m$2,000m$10,000/mUnlimited

Pricing wise, they are very reasonable and the monthly allowances aren’t bad but you do need to be on a paid plan to get access to the upsell features.

Overall, it definitely isn’t a bad app, we just didn’t like using it as much as the other apps on the list.

7. Rebolt Bundle & Upsell

By far the simplest app on the list goes to Rebolt but just because it is simple, doesn’t mean that it is lacking in features when it comes to upsells as it offers:

  • Offer types – a range of offer types including product bundles, mix and match and upsells
  • Locations – choose to display your offers on your product, cart and after sale pages
  • Discounts – offer fixed or percentage based discounts
  • Analytics – see how well your funnel is performing
  • Basic customization – allows you to customize many of the design aspects of your widgets

It is definitely well stacked when it comes to features but the app doesn’t feel quite as polished as some of the others and the workflow isn’t the best as we found ourselves clicking around a bit to get a feel for the app, which we didn’t have with many of the other options.

But how much does the Rebolt app cost? This is where it gets super simple as there is one plan:

Growth
Monthly Cost$19.99
Number of OrdersUnlimited

You literally get all the features for one fixed monthly price, no order or revenue limits and this may make it the perfect option for some smaller stores or just stores that want to know exactly where they stand when it comes to pricing.

The app is definitely a dark horse when it comes to upsells as it offers a lot of features for a fixed monthly price, we just find it the easiest to use but if you are prepared to take the time to learn the dashboard, then it could be a really good option.

Conclusion

We spent a lot of time trying all of the different Shopify upsells apps and found that some were considerably better than others and only the ones we liked made this list but which one should you choose?

Best Shopify Upsell App

Essentials Upsell and Cross Sell came out on top in our testing due to it:

  • Offering a good selection of features & integrations
  • Having an easy-to-use dashboard
  • Being reasonably priced

It just does the job and does it really well, especially for the price and combining this with other apps to help you market your store should help you get more sales.

Don’t Install Too Many Apps

It can be very tempting to go through and install multiple apps to find the right one but do this with caution as apps can add code to your theme files, which may slow your site down or cause issues, especially if you uninstall the app and install another one. If possible, test these apps on a copy of your main theme and only install the one you are going to use on your active theme.
